The people refused to enter the pleasant land, for they wouldn’t believe his promise to care for them.

If one suffers, we all suffer. If one rejoices, we all rejoice.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.

Give to the one who asks you and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you

But many of the people who heard their message believed it, so the number of men who believed now totaled about 5,000

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

But they urged him strongly, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.  When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

But Moses responded to the Lord , “There are 600,000 foot soldiers here with me, and yet you say, ‘I will give them meat for a whole month!’ Even if we butchered all our flocks and herds, would that satisfy them? Even if we caught all the fish in the sea, would that be enough?” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Has my arm lost its power? Now you will see whether or not my word comes true!

Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.

Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfector of faith….

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,(A) 25 not giving up meeting together,(B) as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another(C)—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.(D
